EHD Thruster Research

(Electro Hydro Dynamic)

The current modes of chemical propulsion have the big issues of cost well beyond that of most individuals or even large corporations.

Given the nature of these large financial bodies and the serious lack of direction towards a new level of space travel it is therefore up to us as individuals to fill the gap where mainstream commercial science has left us high and dry.

The two predominant issues we are faced with given that chemical rockets don't allow inexpensive and easy access to our higher orbit (where the ideal space drive would be engaged and we would travel to the stars, planets in a reasonable period of time) are:

1.  Non-Chemical thrust system.

2.  Power supply or source of energy to power our thruster nacels.

EHD (Electro Hydro Dynamic) Thrusters are currently what amounts to a novel toy that demonstrates clearly a new form of transportation within the atmosphere that does not rely on chemical engines or rockets but instead uses only electricity.

This makes (even though it is very under developed) EHD thrusters ideal for achieving earth orbit even though at the moment it still requires a fluid media (such as air) to generate the thrust that has been demonstrated.

We also need a 10x or better multiplier to make this method of propulsion effective.

I first heard of this through J Naudin Labs.

There are many replications of the basic 'Lifter' experiment and as well quite a few variations of that experiment as well.

In the few years since the EHD thruster replication excitement fewer people have carried the interest in new developments as it seemed given some very basic experiments that the EHD system would not work in a hard vacuum.

There is one Savior of Blaze Labs who has carried on with developments in EHD none the less and whom has also been doing what I consider very crucial experiments that are leading the way for this to be a useful technology.

I don't know if is ok to provide direct links right to the video demos on these subjects however;

I shall list the key points here.

1.  On J Naudin Labs Lifters page there is one demonstration that shows Voltage is proportional to the elevation of the lifter in the demo.  I am not suggesting that this relationship is linear only that it is a key element to consider and therefore you should seek out this video and watch it.

2.  Blaze Labs - There are 2 unique videos that Savior presents that demonstrate some kind of coupling with angular momentum as he shows how a spinning lifter on a z axis pinion will resist rotation during power on.

3.  Blaze Labs - There is a video demo that shows the anode being heated giving a boost to the EHD thrust.

I have spent many hours myself years earlier in investigation of this EHD effect.  (unfortunately back when I only had 35mm disposable cameras to record my work... none of the photos are with me today)

I had an idea!

At the time I felt that other projects needed my time and I was not equipped to take and record the data I required to make further developments in the lifter design but I did have an idea that I tried repeatedly to share with those who were serious about developments in EHD.

For some reason, no one understood a word of it and so I left EHD research to its own ends.

Now years have passed and I still feel that EHD is a vital new technology that requires development if humanity is ever to get off the ground and move forward into the not so distant future.

In hindsight my observations are valuable to the extent that I may in fact has the tools I need to push forward and possibly make a substantial contribution to the EHD development.

The work at Blaze Labs has prompted me to invest time in development of the idea I had some years ago as it showed me I was on the right track.

I shall do my best to describe what I have been trying to share with others in the past.

I shall do the experimental work and provide the results here so that others may benefit from it.
